Master Gardener Muriel King has served on the City of San Diego’s Community Forest Advisory Board to promote the planting of trees, particularly where needed, as well as to promote community gardens and greenspaces, including the Paradise Hills Native Garden. She was recognized by Dr. Shirley Weber as Woman of the Year 2019 in the field of community activism for CA District 79 for her work advocating for trees and gardens to promote walkability and leisure in communities.
