The iconic monarch butterfly is a welcome San Diego county garden resident. The UCCE San Diego Master Gardener Program and Monarch & Friends are sponsoring their first on-line monarch educational survey. Little is known how local monarchs and their gardens are faring while they are generally experiencing environmental stresses.

Local monarch gardeners are encouraged to participate if they meet survey garden parameters listed on the survey. The survey will be available on the San Diego Master Gardener website October 1st - 31st, 2019. Survey results will be posted on the website and survey participants will learn while they complete the survey. Learn and help the monarch butterfly!
